Job summary

Century Mile Racetrack and Casino in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Surveillance Operator to monitor video systems, identify violations, and support investigations. This full-time role covers a leave of absence with potential transition to a part-time casual position after the leave ends.

The successful candidate will work with Security and Gaming teams to protect guests, employees, and assets, ensuring a safe and fair gaming environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain an AGLC Gaming Licence.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused.
• Comfort using computers, radios, and surveillance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor video surveillance systems to protect guests, employees, and assets.
• Identify and report potential violations of AGLC Terms and Conditions and company policies.
• Support investigations and help maintain a safe, fair gaming environment.
• Communicate professionally with internal departments, law enforcement, and regulatory officials.
• Work with Security and Gaming teams to protect the integrity of casino operations.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $22.00 Hourly

This position will begin withfull-time hours to cover a leave of absence, with the opportunity to transition into apart-time, casual role once the leave coverage is complete.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor video surveillance systems to help protect guests, employees, and company assets.
• Identify, observe, and report potential violations of AGLC Terms and Conditions and company policies.
• Support investigations and help maintain a safe, fair, and secure gaming environment.
• Communicate professionally with internal departments, law enforcement, and regulatory officials.
• Work closely with Security and Gaming teams to protect the integrity of casino operations.

What You Bring

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain focused while working independently.
• Knowledge of AGLC regulations and casino operations.
• Excellent communication skills and sound judgment.
• Comfort using computers, radios, and surveillance equipment.
• Must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid AGLC Gaming Licence or be eligible to obtain one.
• Previous surveillance experience, preferably in a gaming environment, is an asset.
