Job description

WHAT ON EARTH IS DECIEM?

We are a collective of disrupters and doers, of creatives and scientists, with a mission to reimagine the world of beauty.

Since inception, our vertically integrated structure, including our own laboratories, manufacturing, retail stores, and brand infrastructure, have enabled us to rapidly identify opportunities and deliver quality. Home to The Ordinary, NIOD, AVESTAN, and other emerging brands, our goal is to create with purpose. We were founded on the principle of doing everything that others don’t. Because normal gets you nowhere.

We are DECIEM, The Abnormal Beauty Company.

We are growing rapidly and we’re looking for someone who shares this vision and wants to grow with us!

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Supply Planning Associate with 3+ years of experience in supply planning, ideally within a manufacturing environment, who brings strong knowledge of materials management, procurement and production planning.

You’re highly analytical, organised and detail-oriented, with strong Excel skills and the ability to manage MRP/MPS processes, purchase orders, inventory and planning data with accuracy and urgency.

You’re a proactive problem-solver who can anticipate supply risks, navigate supplier challenges and develop practical mitigation plans, while building strong relationships across Production Planning, Sourcing, Procurement, Logistics, Inventory, Quality, R&D and external suppliers.

Most importantly, you’re an adaptable and independent team player excited to contribute to process improvements and the upcoming SAP transition — with SAP and/or D365 experience a plus.

This is a fixed-term contract ending August, 2027, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact during an exciting period of growth and transformation.

PAY RANGE

The anticipated salary range for this position is 48,000 to 52,000 CAD.

Exact salary rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.

WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
  • Develop and execute supply plans for raw materials and packaging components, ensuring optimal inventory levels while minimizing shortages and excess.
  • Create, manage and monitor purchase orders, ensuring materials are received on time and resolving discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier capacity, deliveries and product flow to ensure materials are available to support Production and Third-Party Manufacturing (TPM) requirements.
  • Maintain accurate planning and inventory data within ERP systems, ensuring transactions and supply planning information are up to date.
  • Monitor demand, inventory and orders, making adjustments based on sales forecasts, production requirements and changing business needs.
  • Identify potential supply disruptions and develop mitigation plans to minimize impact on production, inventory and service levels.
  • Partner closely with Sourcing, Procurement, Production Planning, Inventory Management and Logistics to align supply plans, priorities and risks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Regulatory, R&D, Quality Assurance and suppliers to resolve material-related issues and support continuity of supply.
  • Manage the transition of raw and packaging materials, including new item introductions and phase-outs, while minimizing obsolescence and supporting production plans.
  • Track and report key supply chain metrics, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and provide regular updates on supply risks, mitigation actions and escalations.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Planning, preferably within a manufacturing environment, with practical knowledge of procurement, production planning and materials management.
  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or a related field; APICS certifications such as CSCP or CPIM are an asset.
  • Strong Excel, mathematical, statistical and data analysis skills, with advanced Excel preferred; Access/SQL knowledge is an asset.
  • Experience working with ERP systems across procurement, production planning or materials management; SAP and/or D365 experience is an asset, particularly in preparation for system implementations or upgrades.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and build effective cross-functional relationships in a fast-paced environment.
