Are you passionate about optimizing supply chain processes and driving project success? We are seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Management Advisor to join our team at the Fort McMurray Base Plant. In this pivotal role, you will ensure all supply chain management requirements—including procurement, materials management, logistics, and contracting—are executed efficiently to support our business objectives during turnarounds and projects.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
  • 5 years experience in supply chain management, preferably within the oil & gas, energy, or industrial sectors
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, materials management, logistics, and contracting best practices
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic project environment
Responsibilities
  • Represent the Supply Chain Management function to Regional Turnaround and Business Unit Projects and Construction stakeholders
  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain activities for turnarounds and projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure alignment with project requirements and business goals
  • Steward Supply Chain performance to Business stakeholders
  • Identify and implement process improvements to manage event or project specific supply chain risks or when service delivery is not an option
  • Promote early Supply Chain engagement by actively supporting business stakeholders in their long-term planning efforts
  • Champion Manage Goods & Services processes
Location & Other Key Details
  • This position is located at Suncor Base Plant location in Fort McMurray, Alberta
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
