Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort is seeking a Supervisor, Terrain Parks & Trails in Ontario to lead daily operations, supervise a dedicated team, and ensure safe, high-quality terrain park and trail experiences for guests.

You will oversee construction, maintenance, and safety audits, coordinating resources and budgets while fostering team engagement and ongoing development. This hands-on role requires skiing/snowboarding enthusiasm and ability to drive snowmobiles and heavy equipment.

Qualifications

  • Avid enthusiast of skiing/snowboarding with advanced skills.
  • Must be comfortable with driving snowmobiles, trucks, and equipment up the steep slope of the Escarpment.
  • Ontario Safe Chainsaw Handling certificate or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operation, maintenance, inspection, and development of terrain parks, trails, and guest-use areas.
  • Supervise, schedule, train, and support Terrain Parks & Trails team members while promoting safety and accountability.
  • Oversee construction, repair, and maintenance of terrain park features, trails, bridges, and related infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular safety audits ensuring standards are met for features, trails, and equipment.
  • Coordinate resources, labor, and budgets to deliver efficient operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Foster engagement and development through training and leadership.

Hourly Rate: $21.43
FULL TIME HOURS
  • Five days a week including weekends
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

The Supervisor, Terrain Parks & Trails supports the daily operations, maintenance, and development of Blue Mountain Resort's terrain parks and trail network. This hands‑on leadership role is responsible for overseeing safe and efficient operations, supervising and training team members, maintaining terrain park features and trails, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences through high standards of safety, quality, and teamwork.

  • Lead the daily operation, maintenance, inspection, and development of terrain parks, trails, and guest‑use areas.
  • Supervise, schedule, train, and support Terrain Parks & Trails team members while promoting a strong culture of safety and accountability.
  • Oversee the construction, repair, and maintenance of terrain park features, trails, bridges, fencing, signage, and related infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, ensuring all terrain park features, trails, equipment, and closures meet operational standards.
  • Coordinate resources, labour, and budgets to deliver efficient operations while supporting departmental goals and guest satisfaction.
  • Foster employee engagement, teamwork, and ongoing development through training, communication, and leadership that creates exceptional experiences for both guests and staff.
WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME?
  • Avid enthusiast of skiing/snowboarding with advanced skills
  • Must be comfortable with driving snowmobiles, trucks, and equipment up the steep slope of the Escarpment
  • Must have Ontario Ministry of Labour Safe Chainsaw Handling certificate, or willing to obtain
  • Experience in landscaping, construction (labour) or outdoor maintenance is preferred. Must have previous experience using gas power tools and/or hand tools.
  • Previous experience either leading or working/volunteering at events is an asset
  • Previous experience operating equipment, tractors, loaders, mini‑excavators, and skid steers an asset
