Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario is seeking a hands-on Supervisor, Terrain Parks & Trails to lead daily operations, maintenance, and development of the terrain parks and trail network. You will oversee safety, oversee staff, and ensure a high standard of guest experiences through teamwork.

The role requires advanced skiing or snowboarding skills, comfort with driving snowmobiles and equipment, and a focus on safety, quality, and collaboration with a passionate team.

Qualifications

  • Avid skiing/snowboarding enthusiast with advanced skills.
  • Comfort with driving snowmobiles, trucks and equipment up the Escarpment slope.
  • Ontario Ministry of Labour Safe Chainsaw Handling certificate, or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience in landscaping, construction or outdoor maintenance; familiarity with gas power tools/hand tools.
  • Experience leading or volunteering at events is an asset.
  • Experience operating equipment such as tractors, loaders, mini-excavators, skid steers is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operation, maintenance, inspection, and development of terrain parks, trails, and guest-use areas.
  • Supervise, schedule, train, and support Terrain Parks & Trails team members while promoting a strong culture of safety and accountability.
  • Oversee the construction, repair, and maintenance of terrain park features, trails, bridges, fencing, signage, and related infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, ensuring all terrain park features, trails, equipment, and closures meet operational standards.
  • Coordinate resources, labour, and budgets to deliver efficient operations while supporting departmental goals and guest satisfaction.
  • Foster employee engagement, teamwork, and ongoing development through training, communication, and leadership that creates exceptional experiences for both guests and staff.

HOURLY RATE: $21.43

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

The Supervisor, Terrain Parks & Trails supports the daily operations, maintenance, and development of Blue Mountain Resort's terrain parks and trail network. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing safe and efficient operations, supervising and training team members, maintaining terrain park features and trails, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences through high standards of safety, quality, and teamwork.

WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME?
  • Avid enthusiast of skiing/snowboarding with advanced skills
  • Must be comfortable with driving snowmobiles, trucks, and equipment up the steep slope of the Escarpment
  • Must have Ontario Ministry of Labour Safe Chainsaw Handling certificate, or willing to obtain
  • Experience in landscaping, construction (labour) or outdoor maintenance is preferred. Must have previous experience using gas power tools and/or hand tools.
  • Previous experience either leading or working/volunteering at events is an asset
  • Previous experience operating equipment, tractors, loaders, mini-excavators, and skid steers an asset
