Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is seeking seasonal terrain park staff at Blue Mountain in Ontario to maintain and improve trails and on-mountain features. The role is seasonal-full time with an hourly rate of $18.00, based at Blue Mountain Resort.

You will operate hand and power tools, support event setup/teardown, and inspect daily for safety while collaborating with a diverse team. Ideal candidates bring hand tool experience, knowledge of power tools, reliable transportation, and the ability to work

• Hand tool experience is required.
• Knowledge of power tools is required.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to work in all types of weather is required.

Responsibilities

• Builds new trails and/or improves existing trails using hand tools; rakes, shovels, pick-axes and gas-powered equipment; plate packer, weed whackers and leaf blowers. Includes cutting down and removing fallen trees using a chain saw.
• Moves natural elements by hand, such as big rocks and fallen trees.
• Assists the events department with setup and teardown of on mountain events.
• Inspects terrain park daily for unsafe conditions and completes Terrain Park log.
• Repairs and maintains terrain park features using hand and power tools. Examples of tools include circular saw, jig saw, grinder, drills, paint brush
