Job summary

Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario is seeking seasonal-full time terrain maintenance staff to maintain and improve terrain parks and build new trails. The role involves using hand tools, power tools, and various equipment to create and repair features on the mountain.

We offer an hourly rate of $18.00 and a dynamic team environment with event support duties, outdoor work in all weather, and a focus on safety and trail quality.

Qualifications

  • Experience using hand tools for terrain work.
  • Proficient with power tools and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation to/from the mountain.

Responsibilities

  • Builds new trails and/or improves existing trails using hand tools and power equipment (chainsaw, etc.).
  • Moves natural elements by hand, such as rocks and fallen trees.
  • Assists the events department with setup and teardown of on-mountain events.
  • Inspects terrain park daily for unsafe conditions and maintains the terrain park log.
  • Repairs and maintains terrain park features using hand and power tools.

SEASONAL-FULL TIME

HOURLY RATE: $18.00

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

T his role is to maintain and improve the terrain parks, build new trails and improve existing trails.

  • Builds new trails and/or improves existing trails using hand tools; rakes, shovels, pick-axes and gas-powered equipment; plate packer, weed whackers and leaf blowers. Includes cutting down and removing fallen trees using a chain saw.
  • Moves natural elements by hand, such as big rocks and fallen trees.
  • Assists the events department with setup and teardown of on mountain events.
  • Inspects terrain park daily for unsafe conditions and completes Terrain Park log.
  • Repairs and maintains terrain park features using hand and power tools. Examples of tools include circular saw, jig saw, grinder, drills, paint brush
