Job Description

  1. Lead by example & provide ongoing coaching, training and motivation to the department’s Event security staff.
  2. Ensure the safety of fans and employees through effective crowd management.
  3. Communicate positively and professionally with all staff and fans.
  4. Utilize a “one team” approach and ensure departmental integrity and winning vision delivered.
  5. Ensure adherence by fans and employees of MLSE policies and procedures.
  6. Ensure timely and effective reporting and follow up on all incidents.
  7. Liaise with third-party contractors during events (including Paid Duty Police officers).
  8. Maintain an understanding of Event Security Staff Collective Bargaining Agreements; foster positive employer/employee relations accordingly.
  9. Adhere to MLSE service standards, policies and procedures.
  10. Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  11. Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Proven ability to listen, understand and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to obtain Smart Serve Certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop professional relationships.
  • Sports & Entertainment environment experience is a plus.
  • Outgoing, organized, diplomatic and self-motivated.
  • Ability to lead a positive, innovative and encouraging work environment.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and AGCO regulations.
  • Possession of valid Security License (Bill C-159) is an asset.
  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends or nights as required.
