Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor in Victoria to oversee cleaning and services for an assigned area within budget and quality standards. Reporting to the Manager, you will supervise teams, assign tasks, inspect performance, and maintain safety protocols and PPE usage.

You'll coordinate training for new staff, manage timekeeping and inventory, and respond to client requests to ensure high-quality service. Availability for variable hours and weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' cleaning and supervisory experience in a large facility.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Experience in a unionized environment and ability to work with a Collective Agreement.
• Flexible start and end times; weekend and statutory holiday work required.
• Clear criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with controlling budgeted hours for the assigned location.
• Assigns daily tasks and responsibilities to employees.
• Inspects the work to ensure performance meets standards.
• Trains new cleaning personnel and implements safety procedures.
• Maintains timekeeping records for cleaning staff.
• Responds to customer requests and ensures follow up.
• Responsible for inventory control.
• Supervising strip and wax crew experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a reliability security clearance.
• Knowledge of preferred vendors (Ecolab, Tennant, Globe) is an asset.

As a Cleaning Supervisor, reporting to the Manager, you will supervise the cleaning and services of an assigned area within the budget required to maintain company and customer quality standards.

Your Work Will Include

• Assists with controlling budgeted hours for the assigned location.

• Inspects the work on an ongoing basis to ensure performance is at the expected levels.
• Assists with site training of new cleaning personnel
• Trains and implements Health & Safety procedures and ensures that safety devices and PPE are available and properly utilized.
• Maintains time keeping records for cleaning personnel.
• Respond to customer requests and ensure follow up.
• Responsible for inventory control.
• Supervising Strip and wax crew experience preferred
• Must be able to obtain a reliability security clearance.
• Knowledge of our preferred vendors considered an asset (Ecolab, Tennant , Globe etc.)
