Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor in Ottawa to oversee cleaning services within budgeted hours and ensure quality standards for clients. You will supervise the cleaning team, assign tasks, and monitor performance while maintaining safety procedures and PPE compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' cleaning and supervisory experience in a large facility.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
• Experience working in a unionized environment and adhering to Collective Agreements.
• Flexible start and end times; weekend and statutory holiday work required.
• Clear criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with controlling budgeted hours for the assigned location.
• Assigns daily tasks and responsibilities to employees.
• Inspects ongoing performance to ensure standards are met.
• Assists with site training of new cleaning personnel.
• Trains and enforces Health & Safety procedures and ensures PPE availability and use.
• Maintains time keeping records for cleaning personnel.
• Responds to customer requests and ensures follow-up.
• Responsible for inventory control.
• Supervises strip and wax crew; experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a reliability security clearance.
• Knowledge of preferred vendors (e.g., Ecolab, Tennant, Globe) is an asset.

As aCleaning Supervisor, reporting to the Manager, you will supervisethe cleaning and services of an assigned area within the budget required to maintain company and customer quality standards.

Your work will include:

• Assists with controlling budgeted hours for the assigned location.
• Assigns daily tasks and responsibilities to employees.
• Inspects the work on an ongoing basis to ensure performance is at the expected levels.
• Assists with site training of new cleaning personnel
• Trains and implements Health & Safety proceduresand ensuresthat safety devices and PPE are available and properly utilized.
• Maintains time keeping records for cleaning personnel.
• Respond to customer requests and ensure follow up.
• Responsible for inventory control .
• Supervising Strip and wax crew experience preferred
• Must be able to obtain a reliability security clearance.
• Knowledge of our preferred vendors considered an asset(Ecolab, Tennant , Globeetc. )
