Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to oversee the cleaning and services of an assigned location, within the budget to maintain company and client quality standards.

You will assign daily tasks, inspect performance, train new staff, uphold Health & Safety procedures, maintain timekeeping records, respond to client requests, and manage inventory and the daily maintenance program. Weekend and holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' cleaning and supervisory experience in a large facility.
• Experience working in a unionized environment and with collective agreements.
• Flexible start/end times; weekend and statutory holiday work may be required.
• Clear criminal background check is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise cleaning teams and assign daily tasks to staff.
• Inspect work to ensure performance meets standards.
• Assist with site training of new cleaning personnel.
• Train and implement Health & Safety procedures and ensure PPE usage.
• Maintain timekeeping records for cleaning staff.
• Respond to client requests and ensure follow-up.
• Oversee inventory control and the daily preventative maintenance program.

As aCleaning Supervisor, reporting to the Manager, you will supervisethe cleaning and services of an assigned area within the budget required to maintain company and customer quality standards.

Your work will include:

• Assists with controlling budgeted hours for the assigned location.
• Assigns daily tasks and responsibilities to employees.
• Inspects the work on an ongoing basis to ensure performance is at the expected levels.
• Assists with site training of new cleaning personnel
• Trains and implements Health & Safety proceduresand ensuresthat safety devices and PPE are available and properly utilized.
• Maintains time keeping records for cleaning personnel.
• Respond to customer requests and ensure follow up.
• Responsible for inventory control and the daily Preventative Maintenance Program.

• Supervisors will be required to work the hours that will encompass the core shift hours for client visits. Weekend and statutory holiday work are required.
