Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Prince Rupert, BC is seeking a full-time Supervisor to lead the store team and drive exceptional customer service. The role requires 2-4 years in retail, Food Safe certification, and strong leadership for a fast-paced environment.

You will monitor store performance, assist with budgeting and merchandising, and support HR initiatives while ensuring health and safety standards are met. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of retail experience.
• Leadership experience is an asset.
• Food Safe Certification.
• A post-secondary education in a business related field is an asset.
• Experience and/or knowledge with achieving sales targets and profitability, budgeting, merchandising, HR, workforce planning, safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team, coach and mentor to ensure customer first service.
• Drive operational excellence in customer experience, safety, merchandising, and front-end operations.
• Support cross-department needs to maintain service and standards.

We are hiring for a Supervisor at our Save-On-Foods location in Prince Rupert, BC.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, and the successful applicant must have open availability.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the store team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource while fostering a positive team environment focused on Always Customer First service.
• Delivering operational excellence through customer experience, health and safety, food safety, merchandising, and front end operations.
• Providing support across departments as needed to maintain service and operational standards.
• Supporting with team member related initiatives as requested.
• Communicating key messages to the store team to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Reviewing business/HR metrics and dashboards to monitor store performance.
• Supporting with implementing strategies to grow sales and customer loyalty.
• Supporting with centre of store inventory as well as department stocktaking as required.
• Performing all job duties throughout the store as needed, including lifting weight (up to 50 lbs), standing for long periods of time, and working in hot/cold environments.

You have:

• 2-4 years of retail experience.
• Leadership experience is an asset.
• Food Safe Certification.
• A post-secondary education in a business related field is an asset.
• Experience and/or knowledge with:
• Achieving sales targets and profitability.
• Financial planning and budgeting.
• Developing and executing merchandising plans.
• Human Resources (e.g. recruitment, training, development and coaching).
• Workforce planning and scheduling considerations.
• Health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
• Proficiency with computer applications.
