Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Langley, BC is hiring for two Supervisors at the Walnut Grove location. This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, and the successful applicant must have open availability.

As a supervisor you will lead the store team, coach and mentor, support operations across customer experience, health and safety, merchandising and front-end operations. You will monitor performance, drive sales and loyalty, assist with inventory and scheduling, and perform duties across the store including

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of retail experience.
• Leadership experience is an asset.
• Food Safe Certification.
• A post-secondary education in a business-related field is an asset.
• Experience with achieving sales targets and profitability.
• Experience with financial planning and budgeting.
• Experience with developing and executing merchandising plans.
• Experience with Human Resources (recruitment, training, coaching).
• Experience with Employee Relations and knowledge of the collective agreement (if applicable).
• Experience with Scheduling.
• Experience with proficiency with computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team as coach and mentor while focusing on Always Customer First service.
• Support management to achieve operational excellence across customer experience, safety, merchandising, and front-end ops.
• Provide cross-departmental support to maintain service standards.
• Assist with team member initiatives and communication of business objectives.
• Monitor store performance using HR metrics and dashboards.
• Help implement strategies to grow sales and customer loyalty.
• Assist with center-of-store inventory and departmental stock-taking.
• Perform all duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods in hot/cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Leading the store team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource while fostering a positive team environment focused on Always Customer First service.
• Supporting the management team in achieving operational excellence through customer experience, health and safety, food safety, merchandising, and front end operations.
• Providing support across departments as needed to maintain service and operational standards.
• Supporting with team member related initiatives as requested.
• Communicating key messages to the store team to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Reviewing business/HR metrics and dashboards to monitor store performance.
• Assisting the management team with implementing strategies to grow sales and customer loyalty.
• Supporting with centre of store inventory as well as department stocktaking as required.
• Performing all job duties throughout the store as needed, including lifting weight (up to 50 lbs), standing for long periods of time, and working in hot/cold environments.
