Your opportunity:
The Office of the Registrar at U of T Mississauga delivers registrarial services to support U of T Mississauga's academic goals and U of T priorities in the areas of student information, interpretation of policies, and innovation of registrarial interactions. Our core mission is effective and sustainable strategic enrolment management: student recruitment, retention, success and graduation. Reporting to the Manager, Student Recruitment Events and working closely with the Manager, Recruitment & Outreach, the Student Recruitment Coordinator provides coordination support for the Student Recruitment and Admissions team in the Office of the Registrar to assist U of T Mississauga in achieving its recruitment and enrolment goals and objectives. The Coordinator provides proactive, customer-focused, high-quality service to a diverse population of visitors to the Student Recruitment and Admissions office. They will assist with planning and executing on-campus recruitment events such as open houses, campus tours and outreach programming. Including, but not limited to, coordinating logistics for events, including room bookings, materials preparation, catering, and signage. Working closely with the Student Recruitment & Admission Representative, the Coordinator will manage the student ambassador/tour guide and volunteer program, including scheduling, training, and communication.
The Student Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for positively representing the University to support the recruitment of qualified students. The Coordinator provides detailed information and must have a good understanding of the admission process, program requirements, a basic understanding of world-wide education systems, as well as programs and policies of the University, and U of T Mississauga in particular. The ability to interpret and explain admission guidelines and procedures, and adhere to university policies and practices is crucial. The Coordinator will support frontline activities, in-person and via phone, by assessing the needs of prospective students, families, school counsellors and others, and match those needs to appropriate staff, departments or divisions.
