Position: Clinical Trial Recruitment Specialist

This role involves identifying and executing strategies to attract and enroll eligible participants in clinical trials. You will identify potential participants, communicate effectively about the trial's benefits and requirements, and manage the recruitment process to ensure timely and accurate enrollment. This position reports to the Clinical Site Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Recruitment Strategies: Create and execute recruitment plans, including digital advertising, outreach to healthcare providers and patient advocacy groups, and community engagement activities.
  2. Identify and Engage Potential Participants: Recruit subjects through database review, contacting prior patients, outreach or advertising, and recent study participants. Gather necessary information such as HIPAA, Medical Chart Release Authorization, Questionnaires, and medical records.
  3. Provide Information and Address Concerns: Clearly communicate trial details, eligibility criteria, procedures, risks, and benefits. Conduct pre-screen conversations using sponsor-specific questionnaires to evaluate eligibility.
  4. Manage the Recruitment Process: Track and analyze recruitment data, adjust strategies as needed, and ensure timely enrollment. Enter subjects into the clinical database and schedule screening visits.
  5. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with researchers, trial sites, and relevant parties to ensure effective recruitment and retention.
  6. Maintain Confidentiality and Compliance: Uphold patient privacy and adhere to regulations like HIPAA. Review and familiarize with study protocols, maintain logs, and support study teams.
  7. Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science, knowledge of medical terminology
  • 2+ years experience in clinical trial recruitment or research trials
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and web platforms
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; fluency in English
  • Desired: experience in GI or Hepatology
