Job Description

Reporting to the Associate Registrar, the Student Recruitment Coordinator (SRC) will implement Michener’s recruitment strategies to meet domestic and international student recruitment goals. The role involves marketing, relationship-building, and event coordination, including supervising student ambassadors. The position is hybrid, requiring onsite presence at least 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

Sales/Recruitment

• Develop recruitment opportunities in collaboration with various teams to attract students via online platforms, social media, events, and partnerships.
• Represent Michener at recruitment activities such as fairs and school visits, delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
• Maintain knowledge of programs, admission requirements, and unique selling points to effectively promote Michener.
• Follow up proactively with prospective students, guiding them through application processes or referring them to Admissions Advisors.
• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, social media, or in person.
• Build relationships with school counselors, settlement agencies, and other organizations to promote health careers.
• Engage alumni and student bodies in recruitment efforts.
• Supervise and train student ambassadors or seasonal staff, ensuring they are well-informed about programs and processes.
• Manage promotional mailings and materials distribution.

Event Planning and Organization

• Organize recruitment events like Open House, webinars, campus tours, and special programs.
• Coordinate the Spring Yield event to convert offers into enrollments.
• Lead external event collaborations with organizations like OCIF and Student Expo.
• Maintain and update marketing materials, including website content and brochures.
• Create content for campaigns, scripts, and outreach materials.
• Document recruitment processes and update procedures as needed.

Reporting

• Research recruitment trends and identify target markets.
• Lead the use of CRM software to track leads, inquiries, and applications.
• Develop post-event surveys, analyze feedback, and present findings.
• Prepare an annual recruitment summary report.

Other

• Perform additional duties or projects as assigned by the Registrar and Associate Registrar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in international and domestic student recruitment at the post-secondary level.
• Minimum 2 years in marketing, data analysis, and social media engagement.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience in digital and print content creation.
• 1-2 years of experience using CRM and SIS systems.
• Strong event planning skills.
• Valid G2 driver’s license and passport.

Assets

• Knowledge of enrollment management principles.
• Experience with Wordpress, Canva, and student career guidance.
• Advanced Excel and data visualization skills.
