Job summary

Specsavers Milton, Ontario is seeking a Student Optician to assist customers in selecting eyewear that best fits their needs, ensuring comfort, style, and optimal vision. You will work under a Licensed Optician and uphold Specsavers’ renowned standards and quality.

Under supervision, you’ll collaborate with retail and clinical teams, provide personalized advice, and participate in dispensing measurements with digital tools.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an Opticianry post-secondary program in your province.
• Have at least 2 years of previous customer service experience, preferably in an optical dispensary.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and stay organized.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Specsavers is unable to provide immigration or permanent residency assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in understanding their visual needs and prescriptions.
• Provide guidance on frame and lens selection for comfort, fit and style.
• Perform dispensing measurements using digital tools and conduct quality checks on eyewear.
• Maintain knowledge of frames, lenses, treatments and current promotions.
• Support after-care services and handle complaints with effective problem-solving.
