Job summary

WSP in Canada is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern in Ontario to contribute to real projects, supporting structural teams, preparing drawings, and gaining exposure to site work in a collaborative environment.

You will work on analysis and design calculations for various materials and participate in field reviews while developing technical documentation with engineers and interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Civil or Structural Engineering program (3rd year or higher).
• Strong fundamentals in structural mechanics and design.
• Familiarity with NBCC, CSA S16, CSA A23.3 or related design codes is an asset.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, S-Frame, SAP2000 or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing structural drawings and details using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Support structural analysis and design calculations for steel, concrete, and wood structures.
• Participate in site visits, inspections, and field reviews.
• Contribute to technical documentation and engineering reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Help improve design processes, tools, and standards.

• AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $24.00 – $32.25
• MB & ON: $22.50 – $30.25
• NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $21.50 – $30.25
