Job summary

WSP is seeking a Designer, Bridges & Civil Structures to shape resilient transportation infrastructure in Canada. You will contribute technical design expertise on complex bridge projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience supporting bridge/civil structure design in a consulting/engineering setting.
• Proficiency with structural design/drafting software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar).
• Working knowledge of Canadian bridge/structural design codes and standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

• Support development of preliminary and detailed design packages for transportation projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and project managers to deliver coordinated design solutions.
• Assist with quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and constructability reviews.
• Incorporate sustainability, safety, and quality into all design work.
• Participate in design reviews and apply feedback to improve outputs.
• Contribute to project documentation, reports, and client deliverables.
• Support field reviews and construction-phase services as required.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $73,400 – $97,200

MB & ON: $67,400 – $97,200

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $66,300 – $88,000
