Job summary

Alstar Group of Companies Ltd. based in Calgary seeks a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our HR team. You will partner with shop and project leaders to forecast hiring needs, craft capable crews, and manage full-cycle recruitment across shop, trade, and salaried roles.

You will source top talent through social platforms and job boards, optimize our onboarding processes, and track recruitment analytics in the ATS to continuously improve time-to-fill and quality of hire.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition experience.
• Experience in oil & gas, shop fabrication, or industrial construction preferred.
• Proven ability to forecast hiring needs with shop leaders.
• Experience using social media and job boards to source candidates.
• Clear communication with hiring managers and candidates.
• Experience using ATS, candidate databases, and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for shop, trade, hourly, and salaried roles.
• Develop and implement candidate attraction strategies across channels.
• Partner with shop and project leaders to forecast manpower needs.
• Build active talent pipelines for upcoming projects.
• Maintain recruitment analytics in the ATS to improve time-to-fill and quality of hire.
