Job summary

Bank of Montreal is seeking an experienced Corporate Development Senior Associate to support enterprise initiatives, including M&A, divestitures, strategic investments, and partnerships. You will build financial models, conduct research, support due diligence and governance, and prepare materials for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, and/or related fields.
• Deep knowledge of financial concepts and strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience supporting complex M&A transactions.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, finance, or accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transaction execution and strategic advisory support for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, strategic investments, alliances, and new ventures.
• Develop detailed financial models, valuation analyses, business cases, and scenario analyses to evaluate strategic, financial, capital, and risk implications.
• Prepare executive-level materials and governance committee updates for senior leaders.
• Coordinate due diligence, governance processes, and integration planning; monitor initiative performance.
• Apply risk management framework, identify and elevate financial, regulatory, and execution risks.
