Job summary

Morgan Stanley Canada’s Toronto office seeks an Investment Banking Associate to join a team delivering execution across mergers, acquisitions and equity/debt financings. The role emphasizes collaboration with global and Canadian clients to provide strategic advisory and transaction execution.

The successful candidate will have 1–2 years of IB Associate experience or 3–4 years as an Analyst/Associate, strong modeling, and excellent communication under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience within the investment banking industry as an Associate, or 3–4 years of experience as an Analyst and Associate.
• Experience working on M&A and equity / debt financing transactions.
• Strong modeling and communication skills; commercial instinct and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
• An extraordinarily high level of motivation and commitment to working hard.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in developing a career in Investment Banking.
• Bachelor's degree required; an MBA, CA and/or CFA designation would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support M&A and equity/debt financing transactions.
• Build and analyze financial models to support client proposals and deal execution.
• Prepare and present materials for internal and client meetings.
• Collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality advice and execution.
