Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright Canada is seeking an HR & Talent Manager to lead the Toronto HR team and partner with Ottawa and national teams. The role focuses on recruitment, onboarding, payroll, performance management, leaves, and offboarding while aligning with business services groups.

You will drive strategic HR initiatives, manage budgets, and support wellness and employee programs in a hybrid Toronto/Ottawa environment with a partner-ready culture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience managing teams in a large professional services environment.
• Knowledge of federal and provincial HR laws and best practices.
• Experience with HRIS software (Workday) and strong MS Office skills.
• Project management skills with ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Discretion, mature judgment and cultural awareness.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic HR business partner for Toronto and Ottawa offices and national initiatives.
• Manage the Toronto HR team; oversee recruitment, onboarding, payroll, performance reviews and leaves.
• Approve payroll activities for the Toronto office and supervise budgeted programs.
• Lead HR operations, offboarding, vendor invoices, and department cost approvals.
• Support wellness, events, and national HR projects; maintain compliant, well-documented files.
