Job summary

CAMH in Toronto is seeking a Scheduling Specialist for a 1-year, full-time temporary role within the Centralized Staffing & Scheduling Office (CSSO). You will partner with unit leaders to create and publish schedules that meet patient care needs while following ONA and OPSEU agreements.

Responsibilities include building relationships, collecting availability, maintaining master rotations, inputting new hires in Oracle/HIVE, and generating scheduling reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field combined with two (2) years of related experience.
• Experience in healthcare scheduling with exposure to unionized environments.
• Experience with scheduling and procurement software an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills; works well in a team.
• Bilingualism (French/English) or ability to speak a second language is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with unit/department leaders to understand scheduling needs.
• Collect staff availability to support scheduling.
• Develop and publish unit/department schedules in line with agreements.
• Create/revise master rotations to optimize resources.
• Address vacation and special requests approved by management.
• Input new hires into Oracle with correct roles and access.
• Maintain accurate staff profiles.
• Serve as first contact for scheduling inquiries from leaders and staff.
• Attend patient flow and other meetings as required.
• Communicate staffing changes and updates as needed.
• Prepare scheduling reports for requestors.
• Maintain knowledge of ONA/OPSEU scheduling rules.
