Job summary

49North, an MDA Space Company, seeks a seasoned Capture Manager to lead high-value aerospace and defence opportunities in Canada. You will shape capture plans, develop win strategies, and align pricing with strategy while coordinating with BD, engineering and executive stakeholders.

Candidates should have 15+ years in aerospace/defence, 5+ years in senior capture roles, and a security clearance. English fluency is essential; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in aerospace/defence with 5+ years in senior defence management or capture roles.
• Degree in Engineering or equivalent; advanced degrees are assets.
• 5+ years experience with RCAF fighter training/operations; knowledge of CFB Cold Lake/Bagotville an asset.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and commercial acumen; capable of handling high workload peaks.
• Excellent English written and verbal; French would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic project capture for high-value opportunities ($100M+).
• Develop capture plans with win themes, ghosting strategies and value propositions.
• Architect deal structures and Price to Win models across contract types.
• Collaborate with BD, Engineering and business leads to craft compliant, winning solutions.
• Present briefs to Executive Leadership on pursuit status and risks.
• Support negotiation of teaming agreements and handoffs to program execution.
