Job summary

The Government of Alberta—Infrastructure is seeking a Strategic Asset Analyst in Edmonton to lead comprehensive strategic asset management analyses, develop long-term plans, and help prepare business case materials for management and ministerial briefing.

The role focuses on building asset models, refining KPIs, conducting financial analyses, and developing asset-management frameworks; strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, economics or related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of progressively responsible related experience.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making and time-management abilities.
  • Experience with asset management frameworks and BI tools (Power BI).

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain asset and portfolio models with KPI tracking.
  • Develop and interpret performance indicators to support planning.
  • Conduct financial analysis and relate results to business context.
  • Analyze utilization, occupancy, lease, cost data to identify trends.
  • Prepare leadership reports and recommendations for decision-making.
