Job summary

Vast-Auto Distribution, a subsidiary of O’Reilly Automotive Inc., seeks a Project Manager to own development from site selection to store opening across Eastern Canada. You will manage budgets, lease obligations and communications, guiding construction and resource management with a focus on cost control.

Qualifications include a real estate management degree and 5 years in construction/corporate real estate, plus strong MS Office skills and travel willingness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate management and 5 years’ experience in a construction related position, preferably in the public sector, or comparable related experience.
• 5 years’ experience in corporate real estate with an emphasis on project management, information gathering and reporting
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office; including Excel, Word and Power Point. Excellent ability to organize projects
• Strong time management with the ability to set clear timelines for task due dates
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization external client expectations.
• Professionalism, customer service orientation, the ability to act as an ambassador for the company, and willingness to travel as required by the position.

Responsibilities

• Own each project from site selection through store opening.
• Provide development budget for site feasibility and update budget based on findings.
• Maintain all formal communications related to development schedule and lease obligations.
• Manage the overall development and construction of each store.
• Maintain strategic vision towards resource management and cost control.
• Assist Expansion Committee with solutions, pricing and feasibility for properties.
• Respond to municipality violations prior to project commencement.
• Review Geotechnical Reports, Phase 1/2/3, Asbestos Surveys, Lease Documents and provide solutions.
• Negotiate with authorities for scope and fee structure.
• Track projects through due diligence and design phases; adjust as needed.
• Visit sites to verify progress and ensure plans are followed.
