Job summary

LightHouse Dental - Chatham is seeking a Sterilization Assistant to clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments in accordance with IPAC standards and provincial regulations. You will operate sterilization equipment, maintain accurate records, and support a safe reprocessing area while collaborating with the clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow.

• Previous clinical experience in sterilization is an asset.
• IPAC experience is an asset.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting or MDRT program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments following IPAC standards and provincial regulations.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment and document required testing.
• Maintain accurate records to support compliance and audit readiness.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized reprocessing area following health and safety protocols.
• Identify and report equipment or sterilization issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow.

The wage for this Sterilization Assistant position is$20-$22/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.
