Job summary

DentalCorp Kingston is seeking a Sterilization Assistant to join our reprocessing team. This on-site role supports instrument sterilization, packaging, and storage in a fast-paced clinical setting, ensuring IPAC standards meet provincial regulations.

You will operate sterilization equipment, document required tests, maintain meticulous records, and work with clinicians to enable smooth patient flow. Prior sterilization or dental assistant experience is preferred, with ongoing learning and growth

Qualifications

• IPAC knowledge or experience is an asset.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program or MDRT is preferred.
• Experience with sterilization processes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments in compliance with IPAC standards and provincial regulations.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, completing required testing and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records to support compliance and audit readiness.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized reprocessing area following health and safety protocols.
• Identify and report equipment or sterilization issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow.

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 4.00pm-8.00pm
• Friday: 9.00am-5.00pm

The wage for this Sterilization Assistant position is $21-$25 /hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

Your Role:

• Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments in compliance with IPAC standards and provincial regulations

About You:

• Previous clinical experience working in s terilization role is considered an asset
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting and/or Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT) Programs is preferred
• Experience with IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) is an asset
