Job summary

River Oaks Dental in Oakville, Ontario, is seeking a Sterilization Assistant for a replacement role. The successful candidate will clean, package, sterilize, and store instruments, ensuring IPAC compliance and accurate documentation. You will support the clinical team to maintain a smooth patient flow while upholding safety standards.

Hours are 8:45 am to 5:15 pm, Monday to Thursday. Wage ranges from $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, commensurate with skills and location.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting and/or Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT) Programs preferred.
• Experience with IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) is an asset.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment and perform required testing and documentation.

The wage for this Sterilization Assistant position is $22.00 - $24.00/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

Your Role:

• Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments in compliance with IPAC standards and provincial regulations
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, completing required testing and documentation
• Maintain accurate records to support compliance and audit readiness
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized reprocessing area following health and safety protocols
• Identify and report equipment or sterilization issues promptly
• Collaborate with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow

About You:

• Previous clinical experience working in s sterilization role is considered an asset
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting and/or Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT) Programs is preferred
• Experience with IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) is an asset
