Job summary

LightHouse Dental – Chatham is seeking a Sterilization Technician to join our team in Chatham, Ontario. You will clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments according to IPAC standards and provincial regulations, ensuring compliance and safety throughout reprocessing.

The role requires operating sterilization equipment, documenting tests, and maintaining accurate records to support audits and exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in sterilization role is asset.
• Accredited Dental Assisting and/or MDRT programs preferred.
• IPAC experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments per IPAC and provincial rules.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment with required testing and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records to support compliance and audits.
• Keep reprocessing area clean, safe and organized following health and safety protocols.
• Identify and report equipment or sterilization issues promptly.
• Collaborate with clinical team to support efficient patient flow.
