Job summary

Westbrook Dental Centre in Calgary is seeking a Dental Instrument Sterilization Technician to clean, package and sterilize instruments, ensuring IPAC-compliant processing and accurate documentation.

You will support the clinical team to maintain a smooth patient flow, manage reprocessing areas safely, and assist with audit readiness. Prior sterilization experience and MDRT or Dental Assisting training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous clinical experience working in sterilization is an asset.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting and/or Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT) programs is preferred.
• Experience with IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments in IPAC-compliant procedures.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment with required testing and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records for compliance and audit readiness.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized reprocessing area following safety protocols.
• Identify and report equipment or sterilization issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow.

About You:

• Previousclinicalexperience workingin sterilizationroleis consideredan asset
