Job summary

Dentistry on Bank in Ottawa is seeking a Sterilization Technician to support our patient-focused dental team. The role involves sterilizing, packaging, and storing instruments while adhering to IPAC standards and provincial regulations.

You will operate sterilization equipment, maintain records, and help ensure a safe, organized reprocessing area. The ideal candidate will have an accredited Dental Assisting program or MDRT training, IPAC knowledge, and prior dental clinic experience.

Qualifications

• IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) knowledge is preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting and/or MDRT program is preferred.
• Experience in a dental clinic setting is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments per IPAC standards.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, perform testing and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records for compliance and audit readiness.
• Ensure a clean, safe reprocessing area following health and safety protocols.
• Report equipment or sterilization issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow.
