Vic West Dentistry in Victoria, BC is hiring a Sterilization Assistant. The role focuses on cleaning, packaging and sterilizing dental instruments, while maintaining IPAC standards and accurate documentation.

You will work closely with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow and safety. Candidates with previous sterilization experience and completion of Dental Assisting or MDRT programs are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Previous clinical experience working in sterilization is an asset.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting and/or MDRT program is preferred.
• Experience with IPAC is an asset.

The wage for this Sterilization Assistant position is $24-$26/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

Your Role:

• Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments in compliance with IPAC standards and provincial regulations
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, completing required testing and documentation
• Maintain accurate records to support compliance and audit readiness
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized reprocessing area following health and safety protocols
• Identify and report equipment or sterilization issues promptly
• Collaborate with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow

About You:

• Previous clinical experience working in sterilization role is considered an asset
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting and/or Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT) Programs is preferred
• Experience with IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) is an asset
