Dentalcorp Health Services LTD. is seeking a Sterilization Assistant to join the Dentistry on Bank team in Ottawa. The role focuses on cleaning, packaging, sterilizing, and storing dental instruments in a compliant, audit-ready reprocessing area.

Competenze

• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting and/or MDRT Programs is preferred.
• Previous clinical experience in sterilization is an asset.
• Experience with IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) is an asset.

Mansioni

• Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments in accordance with IPAC standards and provincial regulations.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment and perform required testing and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records to support compliance and audit readiness.
• Keep the reprocessing area clean, safe, and organized following health and safety protocols.
• Identify and report equipment or sterilization issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow.

Schedule:

Monday - Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm One Saturday a month

Salary:

The wage for this Sterilization Assistant position is $20-$25/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

Please note that this is a replacement job opening.

Your Role:

• Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments in compliance with IPAC standards and provincial regulations
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, completing required testing and documentation
• Maintain accurate records to support compliance and audit readiness
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized reprocessing area following health and safety protocols
• Identify and report equipment or sterilization issues promptly
• Collaborate with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow

About You:

• Previous clinical experience working in sterilization role is considered an asset
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting and/or Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT) Programs is preferred
• Experience with IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) is an asset
• Previous Dental clinic experience is preferred
