Job summary

Affirm is a remote-first company reinventing credit to be honest and friendly, with a focus on scalable mobile app infrastructure used across teams. We are seeking a Senior React Native Engineer to lead technical strategy and drive durable solutions across product, design and analytics.

You will own reliability, set coding standards, mentor teammates, and deliver large features for our mobile platform in the Canadian remote context.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building and architecting mobile applications, incl. 4+ with React Native.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and React Native SDK updates.
• Experience with complex state management and tooling for mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for the team on a year-long horizon.
• Collaborate across product, design and analytics for sustainable tech decisions.
• Advocate technical solutions and operational processes.
• Own team operations, monitoring, playbooks and on-call readiness.
• Establish code review and design standards and mentor others.
• Develop talent through feedback and leadership by example.
