Job summary

Affirm in Canada is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to guide our web and app experiences using React and TypeScript. You’ll translate product requirements into scalable frontend solutions across iOS, Android, and Web, advancing our design system, architecture, and code quality.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience developing and architecting web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
Proficient in Javascript/Typescript.
Experience leading multiple teams and driving horizontal initiatives.
Ability to deliver major features with a clear technical plan.
Comfort with moving from low-level concepts to large system architectures.

Responsibilities

Set frontend technical strategy on a year-long horizon.
Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product lifecycle.
Act as a force-multiplier by defining technical solutions and processes.
Own operations and availability with monitoring, playbooks, and on-call readiness.
Foster quality and ownership by enforcing code review and design standards.
