Lever, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer / AI Builder based in Canada to lead the design and delivery of production-grade AI and ML systems at enterprise scale.

You will architect agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, and evaluation frameworks while mentoring engineers across global teams. The role blends hands-on development with architectural ownership, partnering with product and delivery stakeholders to move AI projects from concept to deployment within 30–45 days, and ensuring reliability,

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering, including GenAI/LLM production experience.
• Expertise in agentic AI with multi- or single-agent architectures.
• Strong RAG knowledge: embeddings, chunking, vector DBs, knowledge refresh.

Responsibilities

• Design agentic AI workflows and multi-agent architectures.
• Build production-grade RAG pipelines and knowledge management.
• Integrate AI solutions with AWS Bedrock and AWS services.
• Create production prompts with constraints and examples.
• Develop observability with golden datasets and LLM evaluation.
• Architect for reliability, retries, circuit breakers, and graceful degradation.
• Build back-end services using Python/Node.js and serverless AWS.
• Design scalable DynamoDB schemas for memory and sessions.
• Collaborate with product and design for impactful AI features.
