Job summary

COGIR Real Estate is seeking a Sous Chef for a permanent, full-time role to support the Head Chef at LES JARDINS DU COUVENT in Marieville. The ideal candidate will lead a kitchen team, ensure high standards of food quality, and maintain safety and hygiene in daily operations.

The position requires 3–5 years of experience, MAPAQ certification, and DEP in institutional cuisine or equivalent. Strong organizational and relationship-building skills are essential.

Qualifications

• MAPAQ certification is required.
• DEP in institutional cuisine or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in large-scale food service.
• Knowledge of Maître D operations.
• Ability to develop relationships and manage staff.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork.
• Perform meal preparation while supervising and mobilizing staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Assemble plates of food.
• Ensure and optimize quality standards in the use of food.

Purpose of the position

We are currently seeking a Sous Chef for a permanent, full-time position to support the Head Chef.
