Freson Bros. is hiring a Full-Time Sourdough Baker at our Fort Saskatchewan, AB location. The role focuses on measuring, mixing, kneading, shaping, and baking bread, while maintaining quality and customer service standards.

You will operate bakery equipment and ensure food safety, cleanliness, and proper storage. The position requires passion for exceptional guest experiences and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic principles of bakery preparation, various baking methods, and food safety regulations.
• Experience with pre-ferments, levain, poolish, sponge.
• Must have Full-Time availability.
• A passion for providing an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to thrive and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness and enthusiasm for continuous learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Measure, mix, scale, knead, hand-shape, and score bread
• Bake traditional bread and bakery products
• Operate bakery equipment (i.e. commercial mixers, rack ovens, proofer, bread slicer)
• Adhere to quality, cleanliness, and merchandising standards
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area
• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Handle customer customer service inquiries and provide an exceptional customer experience
