Freson Bros. in Fort Saskatchewan, AB, is seeking a motivated Sourdough Baker for a full-time role to craft breads from start to finish, measuring, mixing, kneading, and baking with attention to quality and safety.

Join a team-focused bakery environment that values guest service, proper food handling, and a passion for freshly baked goods; applicants must be available full-time and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of bakery principles and food safety regulations.
• Experience with pre-ferments, levain, poolish, sponge.
• Full-Time availability required.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Measure, mix, scale, knead, hand-shape, and score bread.
• Bake traditional bread and bakery products.
• Operate bakery equipment (e.g. mixers, ovens, proofer, slicer).
• Adhere to quality, cleanliness, and merchandising standards.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area.
• Properly store food by adhering to safety policies.
• Handle customer inquiries and provide exceptional service.

We are hiring for a Full-Time Sourdough Baker with a wage range of $18.00 - $25.00 at our location in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Measure, mix, scale, knead, hand-shape, and score bread
• Bake traditional bread and bakery products
• Operate bakery equipment (i.e. commercial mixers, rack ovens, proofer, bread slicer)
• Adhere to quality, cleanliness, and merchandising standards
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area
• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Handle customer customer service inquiries and provide an exceptional customer experience

What you Bring:

• Knowledge of the basic principles of bakery preparation, various baking methods, and food safety regulations
• Experience with pre-ferments, levain, poolish, sponge
• Must have Full-Time availability.
• A passion for providing an exceptional customer experience
• Ability to thrive and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
