Job summary

Schweitzer in Blue Mountains, Ontario, is seeking a Snow Removal Operator for seasonal full-time work. You will operate plows, loaders, tractors, and trucks to clear snow and maintain lot safety.

You must have 3-5 years heavy equipment experience, be 18+, hold an Ontario driver’s license, and be able to work rotating shifts in cold environments. Join a team focused on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of heavy equipment experience (construction/landscape farming)
• 18 years of age or older
• Experience with minor maintenance/repair is a plus
• Ontario Driver’s License with clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Operate plow trucks, plow and sand as needed
• Run CAT loaders with blade/bucket and swap attachments
• Operate JD tractors with box blade and bucket for grading/hauling
• Maintain accurate plowing logs for liability
• Store, haul snow to depots when storage areas are full
• Parking lot maintenance including grading and pothole filling

This is accomplished through plowing, grading, hauling, and snow stacking.* Keep accurate plowing logs for liability reasons* Operate CAT loaders, including blade and bucket work as well as changing of attachments* Operate J.D. tractors, including box blade and bucket work and attachment work (i.e. grading or hauling)* Operate plow trucks as needed including plow attachment, plowing and sanding* In the event of too much snow accumulation in storage areas, loading/hauling to other snow depots* Parking lot maintenance; grading, filling of pot holes**WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?*** 3-5 years of heavy equipment experience, preferably construction equipment, landscape equipment or farming background* Minimum of 18 years of age* Experience in minor maintenance and repair of equipment an asset* Ability to work in cold temperatures* Ontario Drivers’ License and clean Driver’s Abstract* Available to work a rotating schedule
