Job summary

Schweitzer is seeking a Snowmaking and Trail Maintenance Worker I for Blue Mountains, Ontario, to ensure safe, high-quality skiing by maintaining snowmaking and trail systems. You will operate a range of vehicles and perform equipment maintenance in a winter environment.

Applicants must be 18+ with a valid G license, enjoy outdoor work, and be physically capable of lifting heavy materials and using power tools. Training is provided for chainsaw safety and equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a valid Class G Driver's License.
• Enjoys outdoor work and can handle inclement weather.
• Physically able to lift heavy materials and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain snowmaking facilities to ensure top-quality skiing.
• Operate light and heavy utility vehicles (tractors, side-by-sides, snowmobiles, pickups, mini excavators).
• Perform maintenance on snowmaking and trail maintenance equipment.
• Install and maintain snowmaking infrastructure and protect equipment.
• Adjust snowmaking operations based on weather conditions.
• Install, position and maintain trail safety features (padding, signage, fencing).
• Trim/remove hazards from trails using chainsaws and other tools.
