Health And Safety Manager at Aquicon Construction

COR is a certification issued by the Infrastructure Health & Safety Association (IHSA) that recognizes excellence in health and safety management.

Aquicon is currently looking for an on-site Health and Safety Coordinator to join our growing team. Working from the project site in Toronto, Ontario, the Health and Safety Coordinator will work closely with Aquicon's Health and Safety Manager and Project Superintendent to:

1. Manage the administrative H&S function on-site, ensuring all paperwork and documentation is organized and properly completed and filed.
2. Liaise with the corporate Health and Safety Manager on all safety related items.
3. Participate in health and safety training and meetings.
4. Assist in compliance for new employees.
5. Ensure Aquicon complies with all new and existing legislation.
6. Ensure Aquicon subcontractors comply with all new and existing legislation.
7. Attend project safety meetings, perform incident investigations, manage reported incidents/injuries, and conduct safety audits.
8. All other health and safety related duties as required.
9. Accompany MOL and 3rd party Safety Inspectors on site.
10. Conduct site orientation, daily hazard assessments, safety talks and perform field safety inspections.

Ideal candidates will have at least 18 months of construction health & safety experience. Experience with Asbestos Abatement, Lead Abatement and/or Disaster Relief and Restoration is considered a strong asset.
