Job summary

Hydra Fabricators Inc. is seeking a Shop Fabrication Pipefitter – Apprentice to join our on-site team in Alberta. This full-time role offers hands-on training in pipefitting, welding prep, and fabrication within a 58,000 sq ft facility.

You will read isometrics, interpret weld symbols, and weld in all positions while performing basic cutting and welding of mild steel. Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered apprentice.
• Experience with shop fabrication.
• Experience using hand tools such as grinders or oxy/acetylene torches.
• Maintain safe work practices as outlined in company policies.
• Ability to work in a team and with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret isometrics and welding process specifications.
• Understand weld symbols.
• Weld in all positions.
• Complete pre-job/pre-task inspections with Foreman.
• Maintain a tidy, clean and safe work area.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
• Perform basic cutting and welding of mild steel.
