Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of first period of vocational welding training or apprenticeship in progress.
• Read structural blueprints and welding symbols is an asset.
• Strong commitment to safety and knowledge of PPE.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, fit, and repair drilling rig components per engineering drawings and quality standards
• Perform basic welding using GMAW, FCAW, and MCAW in shop
• Apply foundational knowledge of welding techniques, metal properties, and trade math to support fabrication tasks
• Follow proper lifting, rigging, and hoisting practices in accordance with safety standards
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment while supporting general shop operations and team activities
