Job summary

Hydra Fabricators Inc. is seeking a journeyman welder for on-site, full-time work in Alberta. You will read and interpret welding isometrics, weld in all positions, perform pre-job inspections, and maintain a safe, clean work area.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered Journeyman welder.
• Experience reading/interpret welding drawings and symbols.
• Commitment to safe work practices in a fabrication shop.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret isometrics and welding process specifications.
• Understand weld symbols.
• Weld in all positions.
• Conduct required pre-job/pre-task inspections.
• Complete scheduled work in cooperation with the Foreman.
• Maintain a tidy, clean and safe work area.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret isometrics and welding process specifications
• Understand weld symbols
• Weld in all positions

• Perform basic cutting and welding of mild steel

Requirements

• Must be a registered Journeyman
• Experience with shop fabrication
• Experience using various hand tools (grinders, oxy/acetylene torches etc.)
• Maintain safe work practices as outlined in company policies
• Commitment to safety and safe work procedures
• Self-motivated
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to work with little supervision
