Job summary

Hydra Fabricators Inc. in Alberta seeks an apprentice welder to join our 58,000 square foot facility, supporting structural fabrication across North America.

You will read blueprints, interpret weld symbols and weld in all positions while maintaining safety and a clean work area. As a registered apprentice with CWB certifications, you will perform pre-job inspections, work with foreman, and contribute to timely, quality project completion as part of a collaborative team committed to Safety

Qualifications

• Must be a registered apprentice.
• Experience with structural fabrication.
• Experience using grinders and oxy/acetylene torches.
• CWB FCAW/MCAW/SMAW certifications.
• Commitment to safety and working in a team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
• Understand weld symbols.
• Weld in all positions.
• Conduct required pre-job/pre-task inspections.
• Complete scheduled work in cooperation with the Foreman.
• Maintain a tidy, clean and safe work area.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment at all times.
• Perform basic cutting and welding of mild steel.
