Job summary

Sureway Construction Group Ltd. is seeking a Shop Labourer for Edmonton and surrounding area. The role requires living nearby; schedule includes 10+ hours/day with OT when needed, and Saturdays/Sundays as required. You will assist trades, manage shop tasks, and maintain a safe worksite.

Applicants should be reliable, hardworking, and able to work in physically demanding conditions. A valid vehicle and CSTS/OSSA-style PPE readiness are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare shop, dispose of debris and waste properly.
• Assist with shop inventory control.
• Support professional trades as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean job site and organize tools/equipment.
• Load/unload supplies from trucks; operate equipment when requested.
• Promote and follow the company safety program with all personnel.

Schedule

Requirements

• Personal Reliable Vehicle
• CSA approved steel toed boots with 6" ankle support

Pre-employment

• Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
• Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
• Fitness to Work Assessment
• Mask Fit Testing

Shop Labourer Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare shop, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials.
• Assist with inventory control in the shop.
• Assist professional trades as required.
• Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use.
• Load and unload supplies from trucks manually and at times may be asked to use equipment.
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
