Job summary

Sureway Construction Group Ltd. seeks an entry-level JR Inventory Technician to support the heavy equipment inventory in Edmonton. You will locate and bin inventory, assist deliveries, and coordinate with vendors to ensure accurate stock levels and timely processing.

The role requires basic computer skills, reliability, and a willingness to work a demanding schedule with potential overtime. Training and safety orientations are provided.

Responsibilities

• Identify, bin locate and store inventory of heavy equipment parts.
• Document stock numbers and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Assist parts drivers with deliveries and pickups.
• Coordinate with vendors on deliveries, returns and warranty claims.
• Operate forklift to organize the shop and improve efficiency.
• Develop internal systems for organized stock and smooth operations.

Job Type

Full Time, Permanent

Schedule

10+ Hours/day, Saturdays and Sundays as required, Schedule as per Operational Requirements, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Location

9175 - 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB - no direct access to public transportation

Essential

Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions

Requirements

• Personal Reliable Vehicle
• CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support

Pre-employment

• Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
• Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
• Fitness to Work Assessment

JR Inventory Technician Responsibilities

• Identify, bin locate and store inventory of various makes and models of heavy-duty construction equipment.
• Determine warehouse deficiencies when reviewing inventory records, document accurate stock numbers and report any newly found discrepancy to supervisor.
• Assist parts drivers with deliveries, pick-ups and other tasks as required.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding deliveries, returns, and warranty claims.
• Operate forklift to assist with organization and efficiency of the shop operations.
• Develop internal systems to ensure inventory is stocked efficiently; and organized effectively to ensure smooth operations of parts department.

JR Inventory Technician Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 + years’ experience is preferred.
• Hard working and mechanically inclined.
• Strong interest in working with and learning about heavy equipment.
• Computer skills required.
